Zakro Vino was founded in 2016 with ancient traditional winemaking art and modern global business view. Vineyards have a protected designation of origin (PDO) Gurjaani, Kakheti Georgia.

​Wines are fermented in original 19-th century Qvevri clay vessels. Qvevri has 8000 years of continuous tradition with three major advanteges:

1. Micro-oxigenation - clay does breath

2. Temperature - underground storage

3. Filtering - egg shape
